Assistant Pastor Steve Smith and Family Pastor Smith comes to Fremont Baptist Temple as of June 2007. A native of Buffalo, NY, he is a 1991 graduate of Midwestern Baptist College in Pontiac, MI. After serving briefly as an assistant in Pennsylvania, he and his wife assumed the responsibilities of dorm supervisors at Midwestern. Then in 1994, God led him to work in the ministry of Grace Baptist Church in Urbana, OH where they have served faithfully for thirteen years. Pastor Smith has effectively served as a Youth Pastor and Christian School Administrator. He has also been responsible for directing the bus ministry and children’s programs. He has a tremendous heart for people and desires to be used of God. He describes his wife, Wendy, as “my dearest friend on this earth.” They have been blessed with three children, Wesley, Stephanie and Sarah. Pastor Click has specifically delegated the responsibilities of Christian Education to Pastor Smith. This means that he will be responsible for the growth, development and stability of each area of children’s ministry including the Sunday School, Junior Church, Teenagers, midweek programs, buses and the Christian School.
